On this page, I hope to give you some good suggestions on what I have found inspiring, encouraging, or just something that I have been able to enjoy while in this season of life.

I recently read this book called, “Anatomy of a Misfit” by Andrea Portes. I found that the book held three things that I think are essential to be considered a good read: I laughed so hard I cried, there was a twist and I cried out of sadness, and at the end, I learned something.
As I have gotten older I have stayed away from characters that are in high school, feeling like I can’t relate to them as much. But for this book, I didn’t mind that the main character was 15 years old. Portes gives the reader the opportunity to emphasize with someone different than yourself and I appreciated it. So, if you’re in the mood for a read that involves learning to love yourself, growing up, and a rom-com feel, this may be the next book you want to read!

Since getting out of college I have become more into fashion YouTube channels. I originally got into this YouTuber, Amy Lee because of her fashion/thrift haul content. More recently, I have sincerely enjoyed listening to her vlog on whatever she wants to talk about. In my opinion, she talks about things that are real. I like to have deep conversations, so, I admire how as an influencer she’s using her platform to talk about topics that matter to her. Here are a few of her videos that I am talking about:

She’s one of my favorite YouTubers, which is why I am recommending her to you to check out! She has so much wisdom to share, but she’s also a cool chick!
